Over forty national and local design awards attest to JGM’s dedication to innovation and quality. In addition, JGM is very pleased to have been the recipient of many state and national awards from our professional society, the American Society of Landscape Architects.
During the past eleven years, JGM has gained considerable prominence in the master planning and design of veterans’ cemeteries at the state and federal levels. JGM’s design for the Tahoma National Cemetery was given an Honor Award by the Washington Chapter of the American Association of Landscape Architects. In 2004, the cemetery was recognized again, this time by veterans groups, when it was voted the “Best in the West” of all 110 national cemeteries. Photographs of the Tahoma National Cemetery are featured in national VA pamphlets distributed at all veteran’s cemeteries.
The firm was also especially proud to have been awarded the 1995 Presidential Design Achievement Award form the National Endowment for the Arts as the landscape designers for Interstate 90 on Mercer Island, Washington.
